About Conference

GCMIE-2022, the Global Conference on Manufacture and Industrial Engineering have been scheduled for August 11-13, 2022, in Berlin, Germany. This meeting focuses on the particular areas of promising technological development in the field of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering.

GCMIE-2022 goal is to bring together, a multi-disciplinary group of scientists and engineers from all over the world to present and exchange breakthrough ideas relating to Manufacturing Engineering and Technology. It promotes top-level research and globalizes quality research in general, thus making discussions, presentations more internationally competitive and focusing attention on the recent outstanding achievements in the field of Industrial and Technology.

The program includes plenary talks and keynote speeches from internationally renowned scientists. Each of these speakers helped to shape the modern concepts of Industrial Engineering. Besides, there will be sessions for oral and poster presentations. Presentations in these sessions will provide an overview of the cutting-edge technologies being used to address difficult technological and theoretical issues in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering.

Prof. Ramakrishnan Ramanathan is the Director of Business and Management Research Institute, in the Business School of the University of Bedfordshire, Luton, UK. In the past, he has worked and taught in a number of countries, including the UK, Finland, the Netherlands, Oman and India. He has taught basic and advanced courses on Operations Management, Production Systems Management, Supply Chain Management, Optimization Theory, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Management Science, Business Statistics, Simulation, Energy and Environment, Energy and Environmental Economics, Energy and Transport Economics, and others. His research interests include operations management, supply chains, the use of Big Data, Internet of Things and Blockchain technologies for productivity improvement in enterprises and also for social causes, economic and policy analysis of issues in the energy, environment, transport and other infrastructure sectors. He works extensively on modelling using techniques such as optimisation, decision analysis, data envelopment analysis and the analytic hierarchy process. Ram has successfully completed more than 34research projects across the world. His current research projects as Principal Investigator include: (i) the REAMIT project funded by the Interreg North West Europe aimed at using big data and IoT technologies for reducing food waste in the agribusiness supply chain (nearly 5 million Euro) and (ii) the TAF project funded by the Newton Fund for improving productivity of artisanal fishing in Brazil using IoT sensors (nearly £100,000). In addition, Ram is on the editorial boards of several journals and in the technical/advisory committees of several international conferences in his field. He was a member of ESRC Peer Review College in the UK and reviews applications submitted to various funding bodies. He has produced six books (including a new book on Big Data Analytics using Multi-Criteria Decision Making, and an introductory textbook on DEA), more than 135 research publications in journals and more than 180 conference presentations. His research articles have appeared in many prestigious internationally refereed journals including Omega, Journal of Business Ethics, Tourism Economics, International Journal of Production Economics, Supply Chain Management,International Journal of Operations & Production Management, European Journal of Operational Research,Transport Policy, and, Transportation Research.

Prof. Dr. Yucheng Liu(PhD, PE, FASME, FSAE) is the Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at Mississippi State University (MSU), he currently serves as Graduate Coordinator in that department and holds the Jack Hatcher Chair in Engineering Entrepreneurship in the Bagley College of Engineering. Prior to joining MSU in 2014, Dr. Liu was the Assistant Professor of the ME Department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL Lafayette). Dr. Liu received his PhD degree from the University of Louisville in 2005 and Bachelor’s Degree from the Hefei University of Technology in 1997, both in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Liu’s research has historically focused on the areas of multiscale material modeling and simulation, high strain rate performance of materials, vehicle systems design and analysis, and hydropower and wave energy technology. His current research interests and activities center on gaining a better understanding of the process-structure-property-performance relations of structural materials through advanced multiscale theoretical framework and integrated computational and experimental methods. To date, Dr. Liu has published more than 220 peer reviewed publications, including more than 110 peer reviewed journal articles. He has been the PI and co-PI for over 40 research projects funded by NSF, DOD, DOE, NASA, FAA, Louisiana Board of Regents, and industry with a total amount over $9.4M. Dr. Liu has served as a panelist or a reviewer for many NSF, DOD, NASA, and DOE programs. Dr. Liu received the Junior Faculty Researcher of the Year of the College of Engineering at UL Lafayette in 2013, the Outstanding Senior Faculty Research Award from the ME Department in 2016, MSU and BCOE Faculty Research Award in 2018; he was named to the Jack Hatcher Chair in Engineering Entrepreneurship in 2018 and promoted to Full Professor in 2019. In his professional societies, Dr. Liu was elected a Fellow of ASME in 2017, a Fellow of SAE in 2019, and received the SAE Forest R. McFarland Award in 2020. Dr. Liu is a Professional Engineer registered in Ohio State and also holds active membership in ASEE and AAAS.

Dr. Abdul Talib Bon is a Professor of Production and Operations Management in the Department of Production and Operations Management at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He has a PhD in Manufacturing, which he obtained from the Universite de La Rochelle, France. He studied Business Administration major in Quality Management at the master’s level in the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for which he was awarded the MBA. He’s bachelor degree and diploma in Mechanical Engineering which his obtained from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He received his postgraduate certificate in Mechatronics and Robotics from Carlisle, United Kingdom. He is Director of Teaching Factory since 1 September 2016. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has had over 33 years experiences of teaching in higher learning education. In UTHM, he teaches Industrial Engineering and Project Management at the under-graduate and postgraduate level. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has multidisciplinary research interests that encompass industrial engineering, forecasting and Green Supply Chain management. His completed 25 research grant projects as project leader and research member. He has supervised more than 120 undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. He has served as a reviewer for a number of industrial engineering, engineering management and computer science conferences and journals as part of his expertise sharing initiatives. He had published more than 400 Journals and Proceeding Scopus Indexed and 10 books. He is also Fellow and President of Industrial Engineering and Operation Management Society (IEOMS, Malaysia), Global Council member of Industrial Engineering and Operation Management Society (IEOMS Global), member of Management Science and Operation Research Society of Malaysia (MSORSM), member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG), member of Institute of Industrial Engineer (IIE), USA, and member of International Institute of Forecasters (IIF).

Dr. Nitin Keshaorao Khedkar is Working as Deputy Director Administration, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department. Total 19 years of teaching experience and 2 years of industrial experience. Completed PhD (Mechanical Engineering) from Symbiosis International University and Masters from College of Engineering Pune. He has total32 Publications in international journals indexed in Scopus, SCI,web of scienceand few patents published. He is presently working on two major research project in the area of industry 4.0 especially in the area of vibration analysis for predictive maintenance & design, and development of biomedical application. He has successfully completed 3 minor research project in the area of improving the efficiency of cutting tools performance analysis and utilisation of non-conventional manufacturing processes for triboligical analysis. He has developed a first research lab at SIT in 2014, Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) Lab that is equipped with a manufacturing facility in Non-Conventional machining, conventional machining, digital manufacturing and material characterization technique. He is recognized as a reviewer for various national and international journals and was invited as a subject expert for viva-voce of research scholars at various universities. He is associated with various professional bodies of HCI, SAE, ISTE and ADI. He has successfully completed consultancy in the area of rapid prototyping, Motion and time study and model making and product design and development. He was a session chair during international conference on Human computer interaction (HCI). And part of organising committee during 2nd International Conference on Data Engineering and Communication Technology He has played a key role in establishing and developing the very first technical institute of Symbiosis (Symbiosis Institute of Technology) and worked with the capacity of Deputy Director and worked on various administrative and academic committees of Symbiosis International University like BOS, BOE, NAAC, AC and SCC and many more.
