Biography
Prof. Dr. Jan Willem Cohen Tervaert studied Medicine at the University of Groningen where he obtained his MD in 1981. Cohen Tervaert is a Rheumatologist and Clinical Immunologist. In 1990, he obtained a PhD (cum laude). Subsequently, he worked at Harvard Medical School Boston, Groningen (as a fellow of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences), Maastricht (as the Chair of the Department of Immunology at the Maastricht University chairing), and Rotterdam (Research Director of the Sint Franciscus Vlietland Group). Currently, he is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine, University of Alberta in Edmonton. His research focuses on various rheumatic disorders. In his translational research laboratory, mitochondrial and immune abnormalities are studied in these patients with the goal to perform interventional therapeutic trials. His clinical interest is in inflammatory disorders such as vasculitis and foreign body induced rheumatic diseases such as Autoinflammatory/Autoimmunity Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants (ASIA). He is a founding member of the International Autoimmunity Consortium, the Dutch Vasculitis Scientific working group, and of the North American Vascular Biology Organization. He is a member of the European Commission expert panel on medical devices. He is a former board member of the Dutch Federation of Nephrology and the Dutch Society of Immunology. Furthermore, he is a former member of the scientific advisory board of the Dutch Minister of Health on health care coverage and a former Chairman of the Dutch Arthritis Foundation (“Reumafonds”). He is (co) author of more than 460 scientific articles. His Hirsch factor per 01-07-2021 is 93.

Dr.Dimitrios Tsoukas has a certificate of continuing education on “Stem cells and Regenerative Medicine” on 25/01/2019 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Greece. He is an expert in PRP with photoactivation and stem cells from adipose tissue and from bone marrow concentrated from the tibia, which is a much more convenient and painless technique than from iliac crest. He was the first doctor that implemented on 2016, PRP with hyalouronic acid intra articular injections in Doha Qatar to the Qatar Army Forces and their families. He served for 4 years as a member of the Regulatory and Industry Liaison Committee of the International Cartilage Regenaration and Joint Preservation Society, member of the Biologics Alliance an Orthoregeneration Network of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine ( AOSSM) and International Cartilage Regenaration and Joint Preservation Society (ICRS). He is the Editor-in –Chief of the Journal of Stem Cell Research Genesis Publications. Finally he is a reviewer of the Biologic Orthopedics Journal and British Journal of Sports Medicine. He is the first ever Greek Orthopaedic Surgeon invited to present to TOBI ( The Orthobiologics Institute) on 8 and 9 of October 2021his lecture : A novel technique; Adipose tissue stem cells from knee liposuction for knee osteoarthritis. He was awarded in Greece by Boussias Healthcare Business Awards 2021 for innovation in surgical techniques with his stem cells techniques for joints arthritis. He is practicing orthopaedic regenerative medicine the last 6 years with many procedures with orthobiologics like PRP, adipose stem cells after mini belly or knee liposuction, that he performs himself, bone marrow stem cells and intraarticular injections in knee, shoulder, hips, ankles for arthritis, muscle, tendons and ligaments injuries.

Dr. Mustafa H. Agaoglu is a 1997 Life University graduate with a doctor of chiropractic degree. Prior to his chiropractic education, he attained a bachelor degree in science from the City University of New York. He practised for one year in Lima, Peru. After receiving his Florida license he practised in Florida until April 2004. He has a medical office with his medical doctor wife in Izmir, Turkey, and has been practising there since September 2004. He was the founding president of the Turkish Chiropractic Association. Dr. Agaoglu worked with Turkish Physically Challenged Parabadminton nationals and attended numerous tournaments with the national team. Currently, he is the 1st vice president of the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East Chiropractic Federation. He has been the Eastern Mediterranean regional representative to FICS in the executive council since 2009. He has served FICS in communications commission and continues to serve in the education commission. Dr. Agaoglu also has been part of the World Federation of Chiropractic Public Health Committee since 2015. He helped commence the master’s in chiropractic sciences education program at the Bahçesehir University of Istanbul, Turkey in 2015 and coordinator assisted and lectured up until June of 2019. He is a member of the international congresses organizing science commission of the Turkish traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine department and continues to serve chiropractic internationally through chiropractic federations and nationally in Turkey.

Based on original papers and monographs, he has become familiar with dental facts and problems and has been associated with dentistry for decades. After the book was pub- lished in November 2018, the author was appointed a member of the working group “Oral Health” at the Institute for Medical and Pharmaceutical Examination Questions (IMPP) in Mainz and in the further development of the National Competence-Oriented Learning Goals Catalogue for Medicine (NKLM) in Berlin.

Prof. Alessandro Ruggiero, PhD from 1999 to 2005 was Assistant Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Salerno, where he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Industrial Engineering since 2005 till today. In 2017 he received the National qualification to Full Professor in Applied Mechanics. He authored more than 220 scientific papers on prestigious indexed international journals and national and international proceedings.
