I. Biography: Dr. Jagannathan Sarangapani (or S. Jagannathan) received his doctoral degree from University of Texas at Arlington in 1994. He is presently at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (former University of Missouri-Rolla) where he is a Professor and Rutledge-Emerson Endowed Chair in the Dept of Electrical and Computer Engineering with a courtesy appointment in Dept of Computer Science. He is also served as Interim Director of Intelligent Systems Center, and the Site Director for the graduated NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center on Intelligent Maintenance Systems for over 13 years. His research interests include learning and adaptation, deep learning based adaptive and neural network control, networked control systems/cyber physical systems, sensor networks, prognostics, and autonomous systems/robotics. He has coauthored 182 peer reviewed journal articles, 289 refereed IEEE conference articles, several book chapters and six books. He holds 21 patents. He is a Fellow of IEEE, US National Academy of Inventors, IET (UK), Institute of Measurement and Control, UK and Asia Association of Artificial Intelligence. He received NSF Career Award in 2000, Caterpillar Research Excellence Award in 2001, Boeing Pride Achievement Award in 2007, IEEE Control System Society’s Transition to Practice Award in 2018, and several Faculty Excellence and Teaching Excellence Awards at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Professor Chenguang (Charlie) Yang is the leader of Robot Teleoperation Group of Bristol Robotics Laboratory, a Co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Bio-mechatronics and Bio-robotics Systems (B2S), IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and a Co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Collaborative Automation for Flexible Manufacturing (CAFM), IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. He received PhD degree from the National University of Singapore (2010) and performed postdoctoral research at Imperial College London. He is a recipient of the prestigious IEEE Transactions on Robotics Best Paper Award (2012) and IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems Outstanding Paper Award (2022) as lead authors. He has been awarded EPSRC Innovation Fellowship and EU FP-7 Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship. He is a Fellow of British Computer Society and Higher Education Academy. He serves as Associate Editor of a number of leading international journals including seven IEEE Transactions. His research interest lies in human robot interaction and intelligent system design.

Dr. Evangelos A. Yfantis is a full professor at the college of Engineering at UNLV. Prior to UNLV he has taught as an Associate professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology, Rutgers University in New Brunswick New Jersey, and a few other Universities. He has been a consultant for Lockheed, NASA, Sandia Laboratories, Lawrence Livermore Labs, USEPA, Nevada Gamming Control Board, Los Alamos Scientific Lab. Northrop, DOE, and a few other companies in the US. His education includes Mathematics at the University of Athens Greece, and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck N.J., Statistics at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N. J., and University of Wyoming, Computer Science at NJIT, Newark, N.J., Electronic Engineering, at Columbia University, N. Y., N.Y., and Ocean Engineering at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE. Dr. Yfantis has been the keynote speaker for many IEEE conferences, and has been the chairman, the editor, or part of the organizing committee of many IEEE and ACM conferences. He has been the chief editor and an associate editor of many scientific journals in robotics, UAVs, communications, and other areas. He has published over 200 research papers in technical scientific journals and conferences. He is an airplane pilot with a good knowledge of aerodynamics aerospace engineering. Biography

Fusaomi Nagata received the B.E. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Kyushu Institute of Technology in 1985, and the D.E. degree from the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Technology at Saga University in 1999. He was a research engineer with Kyushu Matsushita Electric Co. from 1985 to 1988, then a special researcher with Fukuoka Industrial Technology Centre from 1988 to 2006. Then, he has been a professor at the department of mechanical engineering, faculty of engineering, Sanyo-Onoda City University, Japan. He is also a dean of the graduate school of engineering. His research interests have included intelligent control for industrial robots and its application, e.g., robot sander for sanding wood materials, mold polishing robot for polishing aluminum molds, desktop NC machine tool with compliance control capability for finishing LED lens mold, machining robot with robotic CAM system for machining foamed polystyrene materials, and 3D printer-like data interface for a machining robot, etc. From 2017, his research interest has shifted to a defect detection system using convolution neural networks (CNN), convolution auto encoder (CAE) and support vector machine (SVM). He is now developing a MATLAB application to user-friendly design CNN, CAE and SVM, which can be used without related deep expertise.

Nathan Fisher is a Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer, and Roboticist working for The Geneva Foundation as a support contractor for the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command's (USAMRMC) Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) since 2014. Prior to this role, Nathan worked for eight years as a Mechanical Engineer supporting the design and manufacturing of various vehicle systems, including military combat vehicles and commercial aircraft systems. Nathan's current professional focus is in the adaptation of emerging robotics technologies to provide future capabilities for combat medics in far-forward operational environments. Nathan holds a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Became a public company in November 2016 listed in Hong Kong and Dr. Goldenberg was appointed as Chief Technology Officer of the public company. He terminated this appointment in May 2019. Tiago H. Moreira de Oliveira is currently the Head of Innovation & Development at GeoGlobal, a leading company on the sector of geospatial intelligence and geographic information. For 10 years, he was the Executive Coordinator for R&D national and international Projects at NOVA Geoinformatics & Analytics Lab (NOVA IMS), participating and leading about 50 projects related with GIS & Science. His role as executive coordinator of this research department led him to participate in research and innovation projects that, for example, promote the conception, development, and implementation of GIS for management, integration, and analysis. His knowledge and expertise in GIS and Project Management allowed him to coordinate Projects; plan and assign tasks to the project’s team; prepare new proposals; write scientific articles and contribute to GIS consulting areas. He stills plays the role of Coordinator in the GIS & Science master course (www.novaims.unl.pt/unigis), and as a member of the UNIGIS International Network, which is associated to this master course. Since he has expertise in e-learning Platforms, he is a relevant asset in the programming of the course and its schedule; the design, maintenance, and implementation of the e-learning Platform, and by monitoring and following the students during the course. He is also a researcher on the PhD student in Information Management & GIS at NOVA IMS (Universidade NOVA de Lisboa), with a work entitled “The Emotion-Aware City: Using Ambient Geographic Information (AGI) in order to understand Emotion & Stress within Smart Cities”. Dr. Carlos Renato Vázquez obtained a Sc.M. degree in Automatic Control by CINVESTAV, Mexico (2006), a Sc.M. in Mechanical Engineering by UNED, Spain (2016), and a phD in Systems Engineering by Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain (2011). In 2018, he participated in the training program Industry 4.0, organized by RWTH-Aachen and Tecnológico de Monterrey, in Aachen, Germany. Dr. Vázquez belongs to the Mexican National Research System since 2012. He has participated in several research projects with public and private funding. He is author of more than 50 research publications, including journal papers, extended conference papers and book chapters. He has collaborated as academic editor in the journal Mathematical Problems in Engineering, and as member of the PC of ETFA, WODES, JCRAI conferences. His research focus on the analysis of dynamical systems applied to industrial automation and automatic control. Dr. Mishra is a Storage Software Researcher at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. based in San Jose, CA. His primary responsibility is to innovate, design and develop state-of-the-art storage architectures for current and future needs of data centers. Dr. Mishra's work involves designing (re-designing), and developing solutions in the Linux Storage Stack for inching towards the realization of Software Defined Data Centers, while decreasing the performance mismatch between application requirements and storage device capabilities. His primary research interests lie in operating systems (Linux OS IO stack), object-storage, key-value stores, KV-SSDs, computational storage, Hadoop (HDFS) deployments, HDDs and SSD adaptations. He has worked from developing Big Data applications to building the architectural infrastructure on which these applications run. Dr. Mishra holds a PhD degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University with thesis titled: "Host Managed Storage Solutions for Big Data". He also holds a Computer Science & Engineering undergraduate degree from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India. Biography Mohd Hudzari bin Haji Razali was born on 07rd February 1974 in Muar, a small village in North of Johor, boundary neighbour with Jasin, Melaka Malaysia. He did his elementary education in his village school. He passed his secondary school certificate from High School Muar, Johor, Malaysia. He started his university education at the Universiti Pertanian Malaysia, Serdang, and Selangor, Malaysia, where he obtained a Diploma of Agriculture Engineering in 1996. He obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1999 and Master of Science degree on Agriculture Automation and Robotic from Universiti Putra Malaysia at the same University on program of structure A (research basis) in 2003. In 2005, he was awarded a partial scholarship from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia when appointed as a Graduate Research Assistant to pursue Ph.D program at Institute of Advanced Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia and received Ph.D on Smart Technology and Robotic Engineering in October 2010. Previously worked as an Associate Professor in Department of Agriculture Science and Biotechnology, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA); and currently worked as at same gred of Associate Professor in UiTM; the position as academician took up on 6 February 2011, a day to his 37th anniversary. Mohd Hudzari also hold other posts, including Research Assistant at Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (1999 -2000), then offered as an Automation Engineer at private sector in STMicroelectronic Sdn Bhd, 84000, Muar, Johor, Malaysia (2000-2002), Program Manager and Graduate Research Assistant, Institute of Advanced Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia (2003-2010). Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics (numerical methods and programming) from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics.

Wei Li received the B.Eng. degree in automation and the M.Eng. degree in control science and engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Sheffield, U.K., in 2016. He is currently a Research Associate at the University of York, UK. He has published more than 30 academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, such as the IEEE Transactions on Robotics and NeurIPS. His research interests include robotics and computational intelligence, and especially self-organized systems, and evolutionary machine learning.

His Ph.D. deals with security in Wireless Sensor Networks and more precisely in "Secure Group Communication in Wireless Sensor Networks". Currently, his research interests span over several areas related to Wireless Sensor Networks, CyberSecurity, Edge Computing, Blockchain, Multi-Robot System Coordination, etc. Dr. Omar has several publications in several high-quality international journals and conferences. He has received some awards, including the “Governor Prize” from the Governor of Sfax in 2005.

Van-Phong Vu received the B.S. degree in the Department of Automatic Control from Hanoi University of Sciences and Technology, Hanoi, Vietnam in 2007; and M.S. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering from Southern Taiwan University of Sciences and Technology, Tainan, Taiwan in 2010. Moreover, he received the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering from National Central University, Jhongli, Taiwan, in 2017. Dr. Vu is a Lecturer with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and Technology, Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam since 2012. He is also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Central University, Taiwan from Nov. 2017 to July 2018. He has authored or coauthored of 15 SCI papers, Moreover, he also published the 20 conference papers on the international conferences. He also received the best paper wards of the IFuzzy Conference in 2015, ICSSE in 2017, and IFuzzy 2018. He was a Technical Program Co-chair for ICSSE 2019. Dr. Pinar Oguz Ekim has a Bachelor Degree in the area of Telecommunication and Computer and a Master Degree in the area of Circuit and Systems at the Department of Electrical and Electronics from Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey in 2003 and 2006 respectively. During her master degree, she worked three years as a Research Engineer at TUBITAK-SAGE in Navigation Division. She defended her PhD thesis and passed with Distinction in September 2013 at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of ISR-IST, Lisbon, Portugal. In her PhD, she focused on localization and tracking algorithms in sensor networks. Owing to these works, she won 2012 IBM Scientific Award which is the most prestigious national award in Portugal. She worked as a lecturer in Gebze Technical University (GTU), Turkey between February 2014 to July 2015. From August 2015 to October 2016 She was a research fellow in School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore where she worked on Development of NTU/NXP- Intelligent Transport Systems Test-Bed. Her research interests are centralized and distributed localization and tracking algorithms in sensor and vehicular networks, sensor fusion, optimization theory, estimation theory, nonlinear signal processing and navigation systems.
