Public Health is a branch of medical science that keeps changing over time but the goals of those studying and working in the field are the same: better health for more people. The Global Conference on Public Health (GCPH-2021) organized by PAGES Conferences is scheduled to be held from September 16-18, 2021 in Brussels, Belgium and aims to bring recent developments that have occurred in the field of Public Health to the forefront to understand research and development happening at international level.
The event is anticipated to be attended by professionals around the world with an active interest in Public Health research to discuss current trends in Public Health. The conference aims to provide unlimited opportunities for all the participants to interact with prominent role players in the field and expand their global network of scholars and professionals to enhance their academic and professional goals.

Dr. Dorit Nitzan is the Regional Emergency Director and joined the Division of Health Emergencies and Communicable Diseases as Coordinator, Health Emergencies to the Regional Office for Europe in August 2016. Dorit joined the World Health Organization in 2005. She was the Manager of Public Health Services in the South-eastern Europe Health Network, and the Head of Offices and WHO Representative in Serbia (including Montenegro at that time) until 2012. The team led by her received the 21st Century Award by the United Nations Secretary-General for the special work done with and for the Roma people. and then WHO Representative in Ukraine, until 2016. From 2012 to 2016, Dorit served as the WHO Representative in Ukraine. She led the WHO and Health Cluster humanitarian operations and the polio outbreak response in the country. For the work done, the team led by her received the WHO Director-General Reward of Excellence for exceptional contribution to the Organization in 2015. Dorit came to WHO from the Israeli Ministry of Health. She was also active in the humanitarian NGO “Physicians for Human Rights”. She also supported humanitarian operations in the Middle East and Ethiopia with the World Food Programme and was a nutrition, food safety, public health, and emergency response consultant in China, the Republic of Moldova, and the Russian Federation. She led health sector activities in disaster preparedness and response missions to Africa, South America, and Asia, and served the search and rescue operations response to the 2004 tsunami in Thailand. Dorit is a pediatrician, graduated from the Medical Faculty in Sackler Faculty in Tel Aviv University, Israel, and completed her residency, fellowship, and MPH in Babies Hospital, Columbia University in New York.

Evert Ketting (1947), PhD in Social Sciences, is an international specialist in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). After his graduation in 1974, he worked for the Netherlands Foundation for Safe Abortion (Stimezo), the Netherlands Institute of Social-Sexological Research (NISSO), and the National Mental Health Institute (Trimbos Institute). He holds a PhD from the University of Utrecht (1978). From 1990 on, he worked as an international SRH expert for various international agencies, including IPPF, EU, WHO, UNFPA and WB in more than 20 countries in Eastern Europe, (Central) Asia and Africa. From 2003-2007 he was Head of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Centre (WHO Collaborating Centre) at the Netherlands School of Public and Occupational Health (NSPOH). Currently, he is also a senior researcher at Radboud University Nijmegen, MC/NICHE, where he works on a UNESCO project on the cost and cost-effectiveness of sexuality education in 6 countries. He was an associate epidemiologist of Epicentre in a project to support epidemiological surveillance and outbreak response in DRC. He has led several cholera outbreak investigations through the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Niger, and Guinea Conakry. Didier Bompangue holds a Diploma Study’sspecialized in Public Health. He started an academic career in 2004 with a master in Public Health (Belgium- UniversitéLibre de Bruxelles, 2005), master in Ecology and Health in University of Franche-Comté, Besançon, France (2006), where he had gotten his Ph.D. (2009) in Ecoepidemiology (applied to the understanding of the dynamic of cholera outbreaks in the African Great Lake Region).
